adidas Crazy 8 “Off White/Sesame” – 1 of 8, and Maybe the Cleanest of the Bunch

Back in Fall/Winter 2023, adidas brought the Crazy 8 back to life with a full lineup—eight colorways total, including the clean “Off White/Sesame” (IE7230). While the Black/White OG got the Kobe Day spotlight and the Knicks pair brought energy, this one slid in quietly. Too quietly.

Released on October 6th, this was the third confirmed drop in the series. Each colorway sported a similar build—suede uppers, leather overlays, and that unmistakable '90s Feet You Wear midsole. But what makes the “Off White/Sesame” stand apart is how stripped-back and wearable it is. It’s subtle heat in a collection full of louder choices.

You’ve got cream and sesame tones wrapping a layered nubuck and leather frame, angular sidewalls doing that classic zig-zag thing, and adidas’ Equipment branding stitched on the tongue. Throw in that FYW badge at the base of the laces and you’ve got a deep cut with roots in hoops and a future in the lifestyle lane.

While most folks ran to the flashier makeups, this one’s now aging better than all of them. That’s why you circle back.
